need help with car speakers

yea i was going to check that or at least try and get a cheap dmm to see if the headunit is throwing power out to the speakers to see if maybe i just need to rewire the speakers themselves but i wont be doing that today lol its -15 with the windchill right now lol so maybe later on in the week when its slightly warmer out haha but first i'll check a speaker directly to the headunit

*****, get out there and get the stereo working! HAha, jk, eff that.. It's about 30 here and too cold for me.

lol yea im on the other side of the country lol in massachusetts right now but as soon as my daughter wakes up i'll go outside and sit in the car and check a few things at least i have the heater lol but i just want to know what the hell i have to do to get this fixed ya know lol i hate listening to my phone as music while im driving haha

so i checked a speaker directly to the headunit i have in there now and absolutely no sound i hooked up the wires right out of the headunit harness right to the speaker connection and have no sound what so ever is it possible that all of the speakers completely blew? or could it be that both of my units internal amplifiers are busted i dont know what else to check into i know my amp wires are completely fine with no problems they're all wrapped in that flexible tube thing i cant think of the term right now but i dont know what else it could possibly be

ok so when i disconnect the power from the headunit and then put the harness back in i hear the back right speaker click and then nothing after that i have the back left speaker out and i know that those wires arent touching any metal but i'm just so lost as to what wrong right now i am going to try one more thing just to rule out that the head units arent fried but its weird they turn on and function normally except without any sound im going to check the other radio in my wifes car and see if that works if not then i know that the units are bad and then i'll just get new ones and a whole new system when i get taxes but out agan i go to try and fix this problem

problem may be solved i hooked up my dvd player to my wifes car and hooked up one of the speakers and it worked no problem so looks like im re wiring my entire cvic just to make sure i know everything is ok just have to do it when the weather is warmer lol i felt like i got frostbite just by sitting outside for five minutes
