Need help with box for 2 cvr 12's

The vehicle is a 2003 ford focus sedan limitations are

16" tall

30" deep

40" wide

Kicker says taht each sub should be in

2.25 cu.ft. + port

Port 3 x 12-1/2 x 20-1/2”

this is really confusing to me because with those port dimensions and the re calc i keep getting rediculacly wide boxes that i cant fit help appreciated i plan on building 2 seperate boxes then bolting them together in the trunk that way i dont have to build it in the trunk (anything wider than 30" and taller than about 10" has to be built in trunk) thanks in advance

5.5 cubes before any displacment. tune to 34. seperate chambers. each being 2.75 enjoy!

when you say 5.5 cubes before displacement you mean that 5.5cubes total or 5.5 cubes then add the port displace?

I loved the cvr i had in 2 cubes to 33hz. Kept up to my 12'' RE SE output wise on the same watts. I have not run the calcs but i bet kicker's spec is in the 38-40hz range but i would recommend tuning to 33hz.

Would be easy to do 4 cubes with two 4'' aeros.

aeros are easy. just cut a hole in the box and put them in lol. and 5.5 was total. its about 4.5 before port and sub displacment

i got a box with 2 cvr 12 d2 in it ruff demitions are 22 deep 32 wide 16.5 high i think i get the exact messurements if you want them it averged about 135dbs and the box is built like shit so i think with a lil extra work it could sound really good. port would be a slot port 5 wide 15 tall with a 10inch back peace but then again them numbers might not be right
