Need help with a wiring question.

About to install a JVC KW-HDR 720 H.U., 4 Pioneer TS-A1674R 6.5 3 way door speakers, and a kicker RWS8L72 (the original Kicker Solobaric) and Sony 1200w 2-channel amp. My question is can i run the sub on 1 channel and the door speakers on the other and if so how would i wire the door speakers? I have no questions about installing the HU, sub, or amp except that i have never put a sub and door speakers on the same amp before.

Any help would be appreciated.

if you dont have a dedicated woofer, and speaker amp and you only have 2 channels on the amp available i would bridge it for the woofer, and run all of your speakers off the hu.

if you do series, parallel for the speaker wiring and run the woofer off the other channel you might get away with it, but you will loose your fading and balance's options, and chances are it will put out the same power as using the 4 channels in the built in amplifier anyways.

Peak wattage does not matter. Follow RMS numbers, they're "typically" more accurate and universal. I bet the RMS wattage between your speakers and deck are alot closer than their peak wattages are.

Also, more power does not always equal better sound quality.

You need to either buy another amp for your speakers, or run them from the HU. It is more important to have stereo separation than power.
