i have a kenwood deck and a 1200 watt sony xplod xm-gtr 2022 amp and a 15'' concept competition sub that has a max rms of 2000 watts. everyone tells me sony xplod amps **** but not this one. my sub hits hard and i had it tested and its hitting 156.7 db. im entering it into a comp after i dynamat the trunk. and ideas on what i should do to make it louder? maybe LPF settings, low boost, and filter.

i wasnt there when it was tested the guy hat had it before me took it in. either way im having issues with it not hitting right. it used to be able to hit highs and lows but now its not hitting highs at all and the lows dont sound as loud and clean as they did before

btw here are your amp specs:

GTR Series 2-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 202 watts x 2 chan.

2 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.

Max power output: 1200 watts

yes i know ive seen all the specs for it. my sub specs are * Peak power handling: 2000 Watts per voice coil

* Continuous power handling: 1000 Watts per voice coil

* Impedance: QuadCoilf- 1 ohm (4 X 1 ohm)

* 4" black anodized Aluminum voice coil form

now how and the hell does that sub that costs $1200 with a sony xplod amp sound louder and hit harder then 2 18" solo x kickers hooked up to a 2000 watt amp?

link to this wonder quad coil sub you speak of?

if it is 1kw rms per coil thats 4kw rms and you have it on 500 rms...

never gonna happen dude...

and 2kw wont even move 2 18" solox subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I think I need some boots...

You keep believing that that 156 and I'll keep nodding my head. You expect to reach that number with no sound deadener and no knowledge of how to set up an amplifier?

if that sub/amp combo could do a legal TL score of more than 150 everyone would be doing it...
tell the BS story to the noobs on cawko....
This.

So basically the guy made up a high number and you believed him. You then proceeded to hand him some form of currency in return for a bunch of junk.

Question though...is this trollz?

and no i paid him 350 for a system that originally cost 2000 for so no its not junk and 2 its hitting something at 156 im not an expert and never claimed to be. i took it to a shop they used what looked like a microphone hooked it up to a computer and turn the sub up and played a cd and i say 156.7. im assuming that is not dbs? if not then what would it be

dude I am 1 of the 1st to freely help members just ask

but when you bring the bullshit to the table what do you expect in return?

then you expect us to believe your POS 15" on 500 watts is better and louder than world champ record setting subs are?

get a fking clue ....
