need help wiring sub ..

How do I wire a dual 4ohm sub to a mono amp. I need a diagram or something.

THe sub specs are as follows:

700watts rms; 1400watts peak.

the amp on the other hand:

a mtx 801d amp ...400 watts x 1 at 4 ohms

800 watts x 1 at 2 ohms

I wanna wanna wire them up without blowing them. I know its 800 watts rms if i wire it at 2ohms so is it a good idea.

can someone tell me how to wire it up please?

Wire the sub in parallel for 2 ohms mono.

i wired the sub...and its not hitting like I thought it would. Did I do something wrong? I figured that the bass would real hard...but it seems like it needs more power. it only hits decent whenthe gain is all the way up. But when the gain is high it seems like its ******* wayyy more power than usual.

any help?
