Need help wiring my subs....

not sure how to run my subs for the best output...here is what i have

HIFONICS BRZ12D4 12" CAR SUBWOOFERS 1200W PEAK/ 600W RMS SUB 4 OHM

Rubber surround

• Nickel plated push and insert speaker terminals

• High strength ABS Motor cover

• 2-1/2" High temperature voice coil

• Dual flat nomex spider with woven tinsel leads

• Sensitivity: 86 dB

• Polypropylene cone woofer

2000 WATTS MAX POWER

Bridgeable Trimode Operation

Input Sensitivity Selector

Variable Bass Boost (0 to +1 8dB)

im runnin this off a JVC KW-AV50 headunit and runnin 4 gauge wire and 12 gauge speaker wire..i also have a

2 Farad 24-Volt DC Digital Power Capacitor and im putting the subs in a vented slot ported box

any help would be appreciated...im a bit of a newbie so please speak slowly...lmao..thanxs guys

 
you will wire the subs like this:

wire your amp bridged. refer to the manual for how to do that. 2 channel amps prefer 4 ohm mono bridged.

the real trick is how to combine all of those wires without having any errant strands shoring out. taking your time and making good connections - preferably soldering with heat shrink - will lead to success

or you can make it easy on yourself and buy one of these terminals for the box (with the jumpers) to parallel the subs after you wire in series.

so sub #1 has coils wired in series then one pos and one neg to the top pos and neg on the terminal.

then sub #2 also has coils wired in series then one pos and one neg to the bottom pos and neg on the terminal.

the bars connect sub #1 in parallel with sub #2 .

then only one pair of speaker wires are required from the amp to the box (top or bottom) terminals.
