Need help wiring MB Quart PCE216

Guys,

I was doing the install today and ran into a question.

The mid has two sets of terminals on each side. On one end, there is a "Screw" (i am assuming its positive) and a flat terminal (negative).

On the opposite end, the same combo exist.

My guess is that the model allows the tweeter to be installed as a coaxial.

I am doing the components method.

From the user's manual, it looks like I have to connect the positive of one side and the opposite side, I would connect to the negative.

Can somebody confirm this please.

Is the "screw" represent a positive polarity?

On the picture it shows both connections going to the "screw" like terminal? I am so confused. Help.

Hey Tony,

You are corect on the Screw being Positve

You will Use The (+) from One Side & The (-) From the other

On the inputs to the Crossover you will use the (+) to the far right

Skip one & Use the (-) Leave the jumpers inplace..

Any reson you arnt running them Coax Style?

After looking over the second speaker, I discovered that the screw and spade terminal are the same (they are each connected by a piece of metal).

As far as which side is the positive and negative, I look at the user manual again and found that the grid with 3 lines (pattern) is the negative side. The positive side has one plastic piece instead of the 3 lines.

The stock setup had the tweeter separate, so I am just replace in the exactly location.
