Need Help wiring front speakers to amp

The head unit is a jvc a kd-avx44 "el kameleon" Right now I've got some sony 6x9s(XSGTX6930) 3 way speakers in the rear deck that are rated at 100 watts rms. They are 8 ohms I believe. In the front Ive got some power acoustik 4x6 XP2K these are rated at 70 watts rms and are 4 ohms.

I am wanting to add a 4 channel amp. Most likely it will be an mb quart dsc450. This is suppose to do 100x4 at 2 ohms. My question is can I hook up the current speakers I have? Since they are different impedences I figured not. I would prefer to keep the sony's since they dont sound bad. The power acoustik ones arent installed yet since it uses 5x7 i believe and havent gotten around to looking for an adapter.

What impedence levels should I look for in speakers if I want to get the 100x4 watts rms at 2 ohms? I've also thought about just running 4 re audio 6x9 which are 4 ohms and forgetting about front speakers just having the 4 6x9 in the rear deck. Would this work with that amp?

If you haven't got yhe amp yet focus on speakers first. Either keep the ones you have, or get new ones at your choice.

THEN worry about amps, and find out how they perform at the ohms your speakers are, and if that's sufficient.

As a general rule of thumb I'd say the amp you mentioned will do about half at 4 ohms as it will at 2, but depending on what your looking for that may be just fine. If it's not get a bigger amp.

The speakers are your sound stage, figure them out first and then select an amp that fits.

Most non sub speakers are rated at 4 Ohms, don't try to find 2 ohm ones to please your amp.

Also as a general rule higher ohms is safe but less power, the other direction you need to be careful and match things in recommended ranges.
