need help wiring 2 amps

ok how do i wir this up becuase i need to know what kit to buy. i am going to have 2 amps 1 mono 1 two channle. set of door speakers and 2 subs. this is how i think it needs to be done. its going to be about 1600 rms totle for both subs 800 each and 60 each for door speakers. i would run 0 awg from battery to a distroblock 0 in 4 out. from 2 4awg out to the 2 amps. this is where i am confused. i need to run 4 awg from amp to cup terminal to subs? if i have a peice of 4 awg and i cut it i just have to stripp the plastic?

Ummm.

You are good to all the way up to( 4ga from the distro to the two amps.)

Dont forget you are going to need to ground both amps too as well as run a remote "turn on" lead.

But then you need to run speaker wire from the amp to the terminals and inside the enclosure to the subs. Check the stickys in the wiring section of this forum on how to wire your subwoofers to achieve the load you want.

yes i forgot to put that about the ground and turn on wire. what gauge wire from amp to terminal cup to sub do i need? its 2 type r 12 on a hifonics 1606 amp. thanks

12 ga will work fine.

You need a 1/0 To 4ga Single Fused ANL, out to a 4ga in and Four 8ga Fused outs. This will give you two 8's for the amps and Two Left for add on's.

You will also need a ground 1/0 In and Four 8ga outs block.

The Amp for the Subs should be able to take 8ga out too the R"s Subs.

You can use 14ga for the speakers on the other.
