need help: stereo install in 05 accord

i went to hook up my stereo in my accord and i couldnt get no sound, i know the stereo works cause it worked when it got pulled from my other car when i traded it in to get this one. the stereo powers up but i can get no sound, now could it be cause the car has a factory amp, which i dont know if it has that even. the after market plug comes with 2 plugs and then the wires for the stereo. so i plugged the the harness in where it is suppose to and plugged the the other plug into the stock stereo assuming that where its suppose to go. the stock cd player also has a 6 disc cd changer assuming thats why i had to plug it in there maybe to use the cd changer part of it. i really dont know whats wrong so if ne one could help i would appreciate it.
