Please confirm that this happens *when* you have the speakers plugged into the amp and the power on.

yes this is hooked up with the power on no sound the woofer jsut puffs up about an inch i kill the power and it lowers back down

You can check the output on your amp with a DMM on the DC Voltage setting.

Ok, your amplifier has just bit the dust. Measure the speakers with a digital multimeter to see if you get any kind of resistance.
