So I like quality things but I don;t know much about car audio unfortunately. I will say I don;t like booming bass but more of a SQ guy usually listening to EDM and top 40 Etc.. I had a system in my 68 Camaro that I took out and looking to out it in my truck but need advice on direction and what i'll need. Here is what I have.

DLS A5 amp

DLS UP6i 6.5" components

JL 10W6 V2 D4

Now, I don't want to use an aftermarket deck so I was thinking of a Bit 10. Is that a good way of getting everything in order and still maintaining factory controls? Will this sub fit under my rear seat? Are there any good prefabbed boxes to use? I plan to Soundskin the doors and rear of the cab as well. What do you think?

The bit 10 if its affordable for you should be perfectly fine.

As far as a box if you are going for a sealed box then just lookup the jl sub specs and find what size sealed works best.

Then find prefabs that fit the specs, for a truck like yours the box will need to be the normal type built that fit under the seat with the transmission hump measured in.

As far as the amp just cut a peice of wood out and screw the amp to the wood so you can drill the wood into the back wall under the window behind the backseat.

Edit: no seat lift is needed since the sub should be pointed to the floor so the seat incline will give more space for the motor.

Will the Bit Ten still make a difference even when using the DLS passive crossovers? Is a front stage only enough or should I try and rear fill the half doors?

I ordered Second Skin Damplifier Pro last night to start deadening the cab. It was so much cheaper than the Other option. Can anyone recommend a good install kit?

Im not a bit 10 expert but i doubt youll even need the crossovers from dls.
And once you put the front set in the rear wont make a difference in sound or loudness.

So leave the rears alone.

with only two channels for the front stage how would I not use the passive crossovers? I'd need a five channel, right?
