Need Help Really Bad!!

Yeah. No harm man lol. I know i need to educate myself on all this sound system stuff but to tell you the truth i literally know nothing. In the past month i've been doing a lot of reading and trying to further my knowlege on the subject. But as of now i'm still a NOOB. I rather have people opinions on a problem such as this one rather than my mess some shi tup you know? This is a huge forum filled with information and hopefully i'll learn a lot off of it. But as of right now. I much rather trust people with this type of education to tell me how to resolve my problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

whats the diff with stereo and mono? i have it on mono right now
sub has dual voice coils 1 pos 1neg for each coil. Hook 1 pos and 1neg to each channel and switch it to stereo. Problem solved. You will not get full power from your amp, but you will keep from smoking your amp and possibly the sub to.

that's how it's wired right now but it's on mono.. so i should still be able to play it for now until i buy a 2 ohm amp? Will the hifonics one be alright since i can get it for pretty cheap. Or should i just buy the kicker 750?

He means run 4 wires. Positive and negative to one channel on the amp, and positive and negative from the 2nd coil to the other channel. Switch it to stereo operation.

if it is in stereo mode, it will be good. look for a monoblock that does full power at 2ohms

sweet deal. I guess i'll pick that up then :p thanks for all the help thus far.

time for a quick easy question.. Should i get another smaller amp to power my speakers? even tho they are shitty sony's right now.. this summer i'm gonna upgrade to kicker SS 6.5's in the front and upgrade the rear ones too.. i'll also be getting a new HU.. just gotta shop around a little more! Thanks for everything you've explained and helped me out with. Big thanks to DBDRAGGUY!

No Problem, Your system will really start to come together with your mids and highs on amp power instead of the the head unit. Gives you much more tuning ability and volume control.
