Need help picking out sub(s) and possibly amp for my buddy

My buddy has one of the old Impreza Outback Sport's and is lookin to get some subs. We began to hook up his system in the winter, but the weather made us quit (no garage). We left the wiring and amp (Coustic Power Logic 260) in his car. Now that the weather is much better and we have time to kill, he wants some sub(s). He listens to 90% double-kick rock type of music, so I was thinking he is going to want sound quality. He is probably only in need of 600wrms or so in terms of loudness. I was thinking either a couple SD or ED 8's, or maybe a nice sq 12 like a Diyma R12. What do you guys think? We will probably run it off the Coustic until he thirsts for more, like I said his cap for loudness would probably be around 600wrms. I would appreciate any suggestions for subs and amps.

If you say so...I was just recommending something that would be great on a budget. If you're looking totally at SQ and don't really have a budget in mind, pick up an IA Flatlyne and a class A/B amp.

the ia 187s sound great and really pound. they will take quite a bit more than rated power. nick said they will be making them in 8" soon. sundown also has a nice sub.

This sounds more like it. I think it would pair up well with the Coustic amp.
