need help on what amp to get

i got 2 alpine 15" type r 1542d and i need an amp for these babies my hifonics brutus 1610d blew out so im guessing i need a bigger amp im new at this so i need help on picking a really good amp idk about any of that installation stuff my friend installed it since he knows how to and i know when i was playing it the lights did dim flicker just a lil sometimes and the amp was at 2 ohms thats all i know o and the budget im guessing $400 is the highest il go

If you are getting dimming ~700-800ish watts, you may need to do something about your electrical. I would. I've heard stories of type %s handling 1K+ watts. I'd look for an amp that can do 2000 watts@ 2 ohms. But you'll need to fix the issues with your charging system to get the most out of them.
