Hi,
I'm a novice as far a car audio goes and need some help. I've searched but haven't really found the answer to my question.
I'm adding a subwoofer to an old (1983) Porsche 911. These cars have very little space and are challenged as far as sound quality goes. I have the following already:
JVC AR-615 HU
Focal Access 6.5" components w/ seperate tweeters
JVC 65w x 2 amp
Kenwood 4x6 rears (not amped) which I don't even use
The system sounds very good (to me) yet lacks bottom end to fill out the music. I was hoping the 6.5" Focals would have been enough, but with the noise from the car and the engine while driving, they are not.
There is a small compartment in the front trunk that I'm going to add a subwoofer to. The enclosure will be about .23 cuft. I have an Alpine mono 150 watt x 1 amp that I am going to use.
I have been thinking about using either the Kicker CVT65 or the Rockford Fosgate P1S48. I'm not sure if I should use a 6.5" or 8" subwoofer. Both will fit in the space allotted. What would be the best option for bottom end fill?
Thanks for any advice.
