I'm having a custom box made BiaBia (Alex) and he just finished it. It will be delivered tomarrow morning and I can't wait to see it. He gave me the measurement 22"x22"x12". My math is a little rusty so just help me out here. I came up with 3.348 cu ft. This is a ported box btw, ports are 3x11".

I need to make sure that my math is right because I'm getting an amp shipped to me that will be set up for my sub and box.

Btw, the sub is a Soundstream Davinci 10" 1000w rms.

Thank you.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

2.55 cubes before subwoofer/port/bracing displacments, assuming its 3/4" wood with a 1x front baffle. cant say final volume since i dont know the port depth.
Thank you so much and I was way off.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ehh, i just realised.. you are talking round ports that are 3" diameter, 11" long arent you? how many are there, 2? 3?

i was thinking slot port and thought, hey, 11" tall port in a 12" tall box? no way its made of 1/2" MDF..

you sure youve got all the dimensions right? or the port info? im not sure im following you exactly. a port and vent are the same thing. is it a round or slot style port if it were a round port i would say thats not really enough area, and itd be tuned extremely low. if its 3 wide and 11 tall, then youve only got 1" worth of wood on both sides, meaning 1/2" wood.

Jmac gave me the dimensions. I'll be glad to give you them via AIM. I'm sure he's right.
Good, all I wanted was to know what the cu ft were because I need to have the guy tune my amp right. This thread just got way to complicated for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

ehh, well if those dimensions are external and correct, then its 2.55 before sub/port if you are using 3/4 wood with a single front baffle

ill let the builder/designer/whoever of the box fill in the rest since i believe i have confused myself and everyone here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I talked to Alex today and he said I should get the box on sunday now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif
