Guys,
I have an entry level hatchback i.e Datsun Go. it comes with Mobile Docking Station and 2 front door speakers . To upgrade the audio unit i purchased a pair of Hertz - ECX 690.5 - 6 x 9 Inch Energy Series 3-Way Coaxial to make up for the rear speakers and have installed them in two separate wooden cabinets. As i don't have any Amp installed yet, I'm not able to bring the best out of the speakers (not enough power). Now please suggest me that, by powering the speakers through Amp will i get adequate sound (i.e. good bass, high quality audio).
I am looking to buy this rockford fosgate amp (Rockford Fosgate R250-4 *250W 4-Channel Class AB Prime Series Car Audio Amplifier* at Onlinecarstereo.com)
What if i connect the amp with the company fit front door speakers, will it blow them out?
Amp Specification:
Rated Power(RMS Continuous Power)
40 Watts x 4 @ 4-Ohm
65 Watts x 4 @ 2-Ohm
125 Watts x 2 @ 4-Ohm Bridged
Rear Speakers Specifications: Power Handling: 100 Watts Continuous ; Impedance: 4 Ohms
link: ECX 690.5 - Hertz Energy car audio coaxial
My concern is the amp says 40 Watts x 4 @ 4-Ohm . Is it enough if add two more such speakers or a subwoofer in future?
Please help.
