Need help on 2 american bass xfl ported box

right now i have 2 15s xfl in a wack *** ground shaker box with the aero ports, anyways ive never have built a box and i dont want to pay over 300 for a birch custom box, so i have researched and have found that these beasts are great at around 3-4 cu and tuned ro 30-32 hz, am i correct or am i way off? So if some one can help me and guide me in the right direction or help me with a design ,this one is going into my toy , so its an old school gmc jimmy /k5 so the room to build is massive , and i have noted that the port facing the trunk sounds way better than facing up , or unless any good builders in los angeles area that wont charge an arm and a leg ? Btw im new to the forum and have always come to here for my answers but now i cant find the answer so im asking for help , thank u for your time and all feedback is appreciated oh and i want to use birch
