Did you use the 9awg for ground and the 5awg for power?

Commonly accepted wisdom dictates the ground connection be as big or bigger than the power feed. Don't wanna create a bottleneck for the current as it is on its return path to ground.

and also shouldnt the gain be set at 32V not 44.~V, sqrt(500*2), he said it was wired at 2 ohms right?

ahh ok yea 32 volts.. thanks. i still have the problem with the werid distoreted rumbling.. i think its either my amp isnt tuned yet or my remote lead is on the wrong wire.. i put it on the blue wire with a white line... i thought that was right. this is the positive 12v wire right?

still need help... i made my ground 2 9awg wires. i tried rewiring the rca cables thinking they too close to the battery wire, that wasnt the case. took out sub tested on home amp again, worked perfect. so that means it isnt my wire coming from sub, not the sub, not the rca cables, not the battery cable, and not the ground... it only leaves the remote cable or the amp. so either

A. the remote cable is messed up which i dont think it is

B. my headunit is defective

C. the amp is defective

so now what do i do.... and i found the manual for this guide and there is like, no gain settings on this amp or something

ALSO when i turn the low pass filter to 30hz the sound goes away BUT the sub still moves. i put my hand on it and u can feel it still going even though it is just at 0 volume.

Yo tahts wut happens when you wire it backwards. Switch the terminal wires cus ur sub is hitting in right now instead of out.
