Need help, not sure what the problem is...

Hey guys, i'm having some problems with my setup and was hoping someone could shed some light onto it.

First here is my system:

Pioneer Premier 790bt

Alpine type r coax speakers all around powered by MRP-550

Two rockford fosgate 12" D4 P3 subs in a sealed box being powered by a Hifonics BXI-1608D

So, the problem is that I am getting no noise out of the subs at all. The amp is getting power from the battery and is not in protect mode. I tried taking out the RCA's and plugging them back in but that did nothing, then I took out the subs and undid the wiring incase somewhere the wires got loose, then rewired them down to 1 ohm. Still no noise. I tested the subs and they came out as 1 ohm, so I know they aren't fried. The amp has power going to it and the protect light is not on.

Does anyone want to try to lead me in the right direction as to what might be wrong?

Are your gains turned all the way down? Did you try to adjust them? Or maybe your subs are wired wrong. Or loose wiring?

Naw I just replaced the wiring.

While I was driving the subs would stop playing for about 5-10 seconds, come back on for a while, then go off again for the same time. This has happened for the past 2 days and thought nothing of it. Last night they shut off and haven't come back on. This set up has been tuned about 3 months ago and nothing has been done to it since then in regards to the gain. The only thing that I changed to it was replace the wires because I thought some thing might have been loose.

Go through all your head unit settings to make sure something isn't set to 0 or just turned off?

Edit: After your last post re-check the amp's ground maybe.

Already tried all of the settings on the deck and it is set so that the sub is on and tuned like before so that isn't the problem.

Going to check the ground tomorrow. I looked at it earlier today but it was still in place. It is grounded underneath my back seats to clean metal, but I'll take a look into that.

remote wire? jumper the POS connection on the amp to the REM connection and see if that does it...

Can you explain that to me?

It sounds like you said put the positive wire into the remote location....

take about a 2 inch peice of 14-18 gauge wire, strip both ends, put one end to the remote hole in ur amp, then the other into ur power hole ALONG with the power wire. thus bypassing the remote turn on in the amp
