Need help installing speakers, 1st time.

Hey,

I'm about to install some Pioneer coaxial speakers in my truck. But, there are is no place to plug in the connector on my new speakers. My old factory speakers have a spot to plug it in.

Do I have to cut the connector off and solder the 2 wires to the tabs on the speakers?

Does it matter which one goes to which?

I did, but you can get a factory wiring harness that just plugs from the factory plug, into the new speaker.. cc has them for like 6 bucks or something
