Need help installing a sub

Ok so the car i have is a bmw 323i 2000 i tapped the rear left mid-bass with a line in converter. So basically everything i need is in my trunk, The battery is there the factory amp (has the REM wire) speaker sits right above my trunk. so i tapped the speaker hooked up the amps power and ground tapped the rem and plugged the rca into the line in converter and amp but still no sound what am i doing wrong

you tapped in the wires after the amp ,need to do it before the stock amp
