I am going to guess low batteries. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Get them charged up and see if it goes away.

Well I got the part numbers sorted and Nick from incriminator is gonna hook me up so Im just waiting so the amp will be back to its former glory very shortly. I have a strong suspicion that it was a weak battery that caused this as it was floating at 12.2v so when I turned the key, it must of dropped lower for a split second hence the amp blowing. I was thinking maybe I should put a switch on the amp to turn it on after I start the car so I dont get any kind of surges. Is this possible ? I have replaced the battery now anyway and given them both a good charge but I will also check everything again before I re-install it. any info on the switch thingy would be great

When you started the car the starter load probably droped the voltage down into the 9's which the amp didn't like and let out the "magic smoke".All is well as your in good hands with NIck and IA!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This is the first time I have seen a thread about an IA 20.1 protected, or blowing for that matter. These amps must be monsterous.

Sounds like you got everything under control though, let us know how it gets back to ya after the repair //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Yes, Everything should be A ok. Yes, this is my fault because of a bad battery and I will NEVER let this happen again believe me. The amp is seriously Monsterous and I haven't even begun to have any fun with it yet lol. I will let you know how it goes and it should be fixed very shortly. Everything will be checked intensively on the power supply before its powered back up.

Any info on a switch as in my previous post ?
