hi guys im new hear and in audio,

i need to decide on which SUBWOOFER to choose as i need to add one sub mainly for SPL but sq is also considered. basically i think it will be done in a ported box.

after a long list was shortened i am between the following (i know there are no PRO ones in this list):

Pioneer TS-W307D2 (Dual 2ohm VC)

Maximum input power 1.200 W

Nominal input power 400 W

Frequency response 18 - 500 Hz

Sensitivity (1W/1m) 89 dB

Infinity Ref-1250W (SVC)

Power Handling, RMS: 300 Watts

Power Handling, Peak: 1000 Watts

Sensitivity: 93dB

Frequency Response: 23Hz - 400Hz

JBL GT4-12 (single VC)

RMS Power Handling : 250W

Peak Power : 1000W

Frequency Response : 28Hz-450Hz

Sensitivity : 93dB

OR ELSE the JBL SUB & AMP offered for their 60th yr anniversary:

JBL GTO-1260BR 300mm Bass-Reflex Subwoofer Box

Subwoofer: GT4-12/300mm

Enclosure: bass-reflex

Power handling, RMS: 250W

Power handling, Max: 1000W

Sensitivity (2.83V/1m): 92dB

Frequency response: 35Hz – 200Hz

Impedance: 4 ohms

and amp:

JBL GTO 2060

Power Output 80 Watts RMS x 2 channels at 4 ohms

and ≤1% THD+N

240 Watts RMS bridged at 4 ohms, 14.4V supply and ≤1% THD+N

Signal-to-Noise Ratio 80dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 ohms)

Dynamic Power 170W at 2 ohms

i also had KENWOOD KFC-W3514DVC, but i omitted though i had no exp and opinions with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

what i like most is the pioneer sub above, but im concerned with its sensitivity rating! also please keep to this list if not too shitty ones because i couldnt hear any of them since shops really dont like even take them out of the packaging (and so i have to choose accordng to brand and specs)!

also will the punch, low level hitting, and loudness be higher using the Pioneer since its WRMS is higher by some 100WRMS than the other?

please compare between them and give opinions and in which order would you choose

thanks ALOT

The two T5-12 I bought, it make my truck raddle!!!. They are powered by a Sounstream PCA-2000, these subwoofers are worth buying. this woofers are tight that's all I got to say.

I have a hifonics brutus hooked up to 2 of these and wow. These subs weigh 30 pounds a piece and his so hard as so low i couldnt believe it. it is actually a sound stream when you listen to them, you dont listen to music you feel music. after listening to these for a week i got in a friends car and couldnt even hear his Type R's- no lie and i outpounded a pair or T-1's. this sub is the real deal and easily shakes my windshield wippers

Customer Reviews - Soundstream T5-10

A-C From Vicksburg, Mississippi

This is a great sub well worth thump.. I Have 2 of these speakers hooked up to a SoundStream TR 880/2 all chrom plated amp loud and clear so loud i can be heard from 350yrds and that's crazy ...These things absolutely pound. I'll be honest and say that at lower volumes the PG's are actually warmer and richer on the low end but when I Turn the knob on my Alpine 9855 cd-mp3 just! a! little! and man!! the T-5's come into their own. The bass is tight, clean, and powerful. These subs take bass at volumes that would distort most 10's and asks for more. It's like they have a mind of their own and all they want to do is crank out the bass, soon I will get to more + 880/2. I listen to a wide range of music and these subs hit all the notes from the high end bass you often get in dance-hall reggae, the standard drum kicks of rock, R&B and live music, to the ridiculous low ends of hip-hop. And that's in a sealed enclosure, I can't imagine what they would sound like ported. They also require very little space, mine are in .75 cu ft each. Bottom line is if you want loud clean tight bass at any level and you have the amp power you won't be disappointed with these subs only the police will be..trust!!!! ..me!!!!. Peace........ P.S. JL Audio is a very good sub dont get me wrong But this T-5!!!!... Daaaang!!!!

the problem is they are alkl good subs uve mentioned but the ones available locally at that price range are pioneer ts-w307d2, infinity 1250w and jbl gto 2060 or jbl gt4-12

what would be the 'best' (most punch and loudness) from those??

the prices here are for example $150 for ONE Pioneer ts-w307d2 while online they are something like $50!!!
