need help for install

if theres no visible screws on the outside..try giving it a little pull. If it starts coming off keep pulling, if you start to hear horrible noises, then stop. Most of the time you just have to pull it off.

yea i think thats wt im goin to have to do sucks.like i see the colors match up an everything but i cant find this one cord to plug into.i hate to spedn 55 for some1 to install it

I did an install in an 02 mustang. v6 is it matters. The plastic shroud comes off with a pull. I think theres 4 pop off screw type things. Then undo 4 bolts/screws. Take out the old radio unplug it from the harness. And then get your new adapter harness if you bought one. can still use the old one if you choose. Then plug back in just like it was. pm me if you need more detail.

ok because im tired of looking at this thread and it not being answered fully i will tell you exactly how to install a radio that car....

first pull up around the shifter it will pop right off with a pull...then i dont recall off the top of my head but the plastic surrounding the radio may or may not have two screws in the bottom of it if soo remove those screws and pull th at off....then remove the 7mm bolts holding the radio in followed by the radio itself....now go to the store and metra a wiring harness for the car which IIRC is a metra 70-1771 or 70-5700 and wire that to the harness of the radio by matching the colors exactly then secure your dash kit an American international fm-k550 (dont know the metra or scosche part numbers off the top of my head) slide the cage into the dash kit and fold down the tabs on the cage to secure it into the dash...then plug the harness into the radio as well as the antenna wire...then test the radio to make sure that all functions are as you desire them....then slide the radio into the cage and reassemble the dash

and if you purchas the dash kit for the car it will have dash dissassembly instructions in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
