I have a 2008 Acura TSX. I want to upgrade the sound system. The stock speakers are Tweeter on the dash, 6.5's in the front and rear doors, and 6x9's on the rear deck.
So far parts I have
Jbl MS8
Alpine pdx 1000.1
I just ordered some Hertz MLK 1650.3 components for the front.
I'm not sure what will sound best, to get a set of 6x9's and unplug the rear doors, or to get some sort of 6.5 for the rear door and remove the 6x9's. Both ways I would be getting some sort of subwoofer for the trunk. I was thinking two 12" w6v2's and use my pdx amp but then again I don't want to add a lot of weight to my car, and plus I don't need that much bass. My other thought was to get a fiberglass box thats molded to the side of the trunk, and get a Alpine type R shallow mount 10".
What speaker setup would sound the best? And what amp should I get? I was looking at getting a JL audio 450/4 if I use my alpine pdx, or looking at like an arc 1200.6 or audison LRx 5.1 or zapco reference 650.6 if I don't use my pdx and go with just the single sub.
Any suggestions?
