I've never had a problem doing it this way, I have installed 2 different headunits in my car that way since I couldn't find a harness. BTW its a Ford Thunderbird //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif .I once did an install where my friend did'nt get a harness. It was 12am and he did'nt want to wait untill morning to go buy one, he insisted I go ahead and do it. Midnight no harness and no DMM on a ford to top it off, what a f****n hassel it was. Blew the acc wire in the process and he got all pi**ed off. Since then I have never done an install without a harnessI don't give a s**t if they order me to.
