Need help designing door panel speaker pods.

Well I'm gonna have to make some speaker pods out of glass for my door panels, considering the stock speakers are in the dash. I have the front of it designed and a cardboard template made (Picture HERE. Simple, but I like it.) There is a map pocket in the bottom front of the door panels, so those are going. That space leaves 16" by 10", While my template is 10" by 8.5". Should fit nicely. I do have a few questions though.

How should I go about attaching the speaker pods to the door panels? I'm obviously going to have to cut this portion out, so do I just created a fiberglass flange that I can glue/rivet/screw to the back of the panel, or what?

Does there have to be a specific volume for the mids, or is that just for subs?

How much glass resin and mat will I need to do a job like this?

you can use a few different methods to mount. screw from the back, use existing mounting hardware (if possible) or use nuts, bolts and washers.

what are you running for mids? im sure they dont have to be sealed off, but they can be if you want them to.

i have no idea of the real size of these, so heres an estimate... 2 quarts of resin and a yard or two of .75oz mat
