Hi there! This is my first time posting here.. but judging from this forum.. this is one of many! Love it here!
I am hoping that someone can help me out here. Let me first explain my issue, I am looking to purchase an amp to power my subs. My subs are 2 10" RE Audio D4's in a sealed enclosure. I plan on wiring them down to 1 ohm. I want either Rockford, or MB Quart. Annnnnd.. that is where I am confused.
I KNOW that Rockford is better. With that said, how MUCH better than MB Quart? I also know that MB Quart isn't what it once was either.
At first I was dead set on Rockford.. and was set on the P1000-1BD or R1200-1D. Between those, I know the P1000 is better. But being I am only driving 2 10"'s - is it THAT much better than the R1200? Yea, I will be blasting some bass heavy songs - but I am also not going to be entering competitions anytime soon either. Thoughts?
Then I was toying with the idea of MB Quart. I am seeing different MB Quart Amps on Amazon.. and some don't have reviews, which is why I am here..
- MBQUART RA1000.1 Reference Series
(Weird thing about that is that Amazon doesn't say it's 1 ohm stable, but other sites say it is. Which is right?)
- MBQUART FX1.1000 Formula Mono Amplifier
- MBQUART RM1000.1 Reference Series Car Audio MYKRO
Between those three, which is better? Are they truly 1 ohm stable? Are there other MB Quart amps that I am missing? Like I said, I originally was going to get Rockford Amps, but I've had luck with MB Quart stuff in the past, and plus they are much cheaper too. MUCH cheaper.
Can someone give me some advice? I could really use some insight and direction here.
Thanks in advance!
