Need help choosing an amp

Yes but more often than not. You won't get the same item. It will be inferior to what was originally bought. And they could ( the vendor) do a prorated cost it's how most of the online companies make their money I've been a dealer /rep for 15 years I've seen every scenario in car audio From buying and selling and in some cases it can take 3-6 months to be resolved
i've never had that experience. if the item is faulty they either refund me full price or replace the item after i ship back the broken one.

Try that after using it for 8 months
I have.. it's a 1 year warranty covered by amazon. whether or not people know this warranty exists it is up to them. ive had amazon reps tell me that im out of warranty then i mention that and they apologize and either replace it or refund it once returned. whether its 1 day or 11 months after it's still within one year.

I've seen it with other item. Very rarely with car audio equipment. Since most manufacturers try to blame the end user
