Need help choosing a ported box for 2 Kicker CVR 10s

Hi, I think this is in the right section.

I have two 10 inch kickers into a sealed box right now. Its hooked up with a 1000 watt peak Kole Audio amp. This is in a 05 Honda Accord with stock head unit and i use a bass knob/booster. trunk space shouldnt be an issue.

I was told if I get a ported box the bass will hit a lot harder but I might lose some sound quality. Right now Im not completely satisfied and would like to feel the bass more. The manual for the subs tell me the sizes I should get but Im having a hard time translating.

Can you guys please take a look at this and tell me what I should be searching for on eBay or whatever?

Remember., the manual pic tells me a set up for one sub in a box, but i need 2 subs in a box.

i'd guess the general concesus would be to start here and build it yourself.

but if you prefer a prefab, just go to kicker's site and look at enclosures to give you an idea, their boxes i'm sure would match up best.

atrendusa.com builds some nice boxes, look for proper size 1.75 ft3

If you want good sound build the box yourself most prefab boxes are cheap and tuned high to make them "louder".

no one "chooses" a ported box, they either build them or get them built.

how about buy a large sealed box thats the same size as what your sub needs for a ported box and simply port it yourself. Buy an Aero port and pop it in.

Though some places do make ported boxes tuned low. Atrend boxes are not that expensive either. $44 is the cheapest ported one i've seen. it doesnt get any cheaper i dont think less its a walmart brand.

i went 2.25 per sub @35 hz (1 4" round port per sub) for my cvr 12's last year and could pull low 40's on 750 watts in my van.

Why don't you just get a probox? They're reasonably priced and will work just fine with a couple of cvrs?

You need to find dealers sites who sell that type of stuff. Here i'll get you started

same goes for probox..just google them. and make sure you find one thats 1.75 ft3 per sub and tuned 32-38 hz should be good

And it would be best to get the 1.75 ft3?

I found an Atrend box but its 1.3 ft3 per sub. I'll start looking at probox's now
