Need help before its too late...

Ok i was talking earlier about how I wasnt really satisfied with my SX...played with the low pass filter and now the bass is lovely. ha The sub doent stutter anymore on songs. About where should my low pass be set at as well as some other gains...I know about the amp tutorial but I need alittle more direct help. I felt the middle of the sub and its starting too get warm...may be hot if I kept it on at full tilt.

Low pass:

Phase: Hve no idea what this is for

Subsonic: I have this set too about 34hz...

I have my level at about 5V too match the HU...and my bass eq is all the way down.

I have a bx1500d and my box is ported too 34hz.

ok.. the sub sounds like it gets somewhat louder when i turn it lower tho. My gain is at about 5v too match my HU preout voltage.

subs get warm, listen to it. I want to know how far up your gain is anyway. It shouldnt be but a little smidge.

which gain? Level gain? the lowest is .2v and the highest is 9v... A smudge would be about 2v im guessing...my HU puts out 5v

ok the LP filter is a tad bit past 1/4...souds good. And I set the SS to about 25-28...sounds better actually thanks.

Now for my level gain. Hy HU puts out 5V. the amp goes from .2v-9v. I dont have a DMM. Would half way or a couple cliks before be good? I have it at about 10oclock...saying 7oclock would be at .2V looking at the knob. Im thinkin I could go to about 11o clock-12o clock...AM i outta line?

put the gains towards the lower side (the 9v side on the gain knob) and adjust up til you think its around 5v

yes I know about the reverse labeling...what I described above is what im tryna do...get it too about 5v.

according too the labeling half way would be about 5v but im thinking that may be too high...half of 9v would be 4.5v so half way should be reasonable correct?
