need help asap...........

well, I hooked up everything correctly, I t is hooked up to 2 JL 13W6v2's, at 1 ohm. I doubled checked the power, the ground, and everything else and still no power. Maybe has something to do with the remote??

check the remote wire with a dmm to see if you have voltage when hu is on.

Check for 12v through the remote and the power. Move your ground, or check the main fuse.

do you think that it could be the fuse?? cause when I first put the power cable on the battery terminal, it sparked alot, and the protections light came on, but then went off. Do you think that maybe I blew the fuse?

could be,i dont know why the protection light came on while you were hooking up the fuse unless you had the stereo on while doing that.

I already had the fuse hooked up the the power wire, I just plugged the power wire onto the battery.....

Stop where you are & buy a test light or DMM. It will make your life a lot easier.

yea, im going to try the test light and dmm tommorrow. too dark out right now.

ok, so today, I double checked everything, I reconnected all of the wires, but when I reconnected the negative terminal on the battery, the protect light came on, and the car was off, not even power on. Any ideas? could it have been a bad ground

sounds like the amp is bad.

Check the Ground and if it isnt that the amp is bad

Disconnect the speakers & try again. Also I assume you checked the remote? It sounds like maybe the remote is seeing power even with the car off...?

If you get the same result with no speaker connections then my vote is bad amp too.

What you're describing would happen if the power/ground wires were reversed but I'm sure you wouldn't let that happen.

Hmm, if everything was off then the amp shouldn't care that you just reconnected the negative terminal. Any pics of the install...it's always better to have a visual...
