Need help, Arc Audio Kar 900.1D

Hey guys I need some help with my KAR 900.1D. Just picked it up a few days ago and it does not seem to be working right. When I first got it the amp played my subs flawlessly. Hitting all the notes, tested it on 4-5 songs. After I took it home to install it properly the amp did not seem to play right anymore. I have it hooked up to 2 dvc 4 ohm subs. It will power the subs and play the bass, but only when the gain is set really high. I took out the 2 subs and grabbed a sealed box vs my ported and played a song on there. Flawless bass hitting. But it was only 1 sub wired at 2 ohms. So I know the amp works fine because it played the 1 sub fine, but for some reason when i hook it up at 1 ohms it seems to be very distorted or not getting enough power. Im very confused. Some help would be appreciatced. Thanks guys.

what do you mean? is there anything wrong with it internally? because i am mind boggled right now. still a beginner to the car audio scene

Yes the amp is need of repair something burnt up.

yeah thats what im thinking. but is there any reason that it plays well at 2 ohms but not 1ohms?

Yes something is damaged on the board causing it to not function properly

Do you think i could talk to Arc about repairing it or should i take it to a local audio shop?

call arc . or send it to me and i will,i've sent amps in to them in the past for repair .they may tell you to take it to a local dealer first and have them ship it in.

Used. Worked like a champ the first 30 mins of play. Then did not work like how I wanted after. It seems like distortion is coming out of the speakers. re-wired the speakers. checked it all out. plays one speaker great at 2 ohms. its just at 1 ohms where they do not have the same output

which model kar amp.my kar 1000 plays at 2 ohms mono or 1 ohm stereo

Its called KAR 900.1D. There is only a Gain, Subsonic filter, and a low pass filter. No switch for mono or stereo. I really appreciate the support you guys are giving me. I am really disappointed by this purchase and getting really fed up with all the rewiring that I have done to get no where.
