Profi Phase Plug for ultimate SQ ...... Profi Kick for insanely great mid-bass. If I listened to more rock , rap , or metal I'd go with the Kicks , but if you are a Jazz , Vocals , Classical , ect .... I'd go with Phase plugs. Sub is also going to be very music , and preference oriented. At this time , my favorite sub going is the Boston Acoustics SPG-555 in a 1cu ft sealed enclosure.

Why do you recommend the SPG-555 over the Rainbow Subs?

The Rainbow subs are great subs , but there are other subs out there that sound as good in the same price range as the Rainbows ..... However the SPG is in a different league althogether , and in MY opinion it has ZERO rivals at any price point ....

Do you know the retail price of the SPG-555 and where to get it below retail?

Looks like only one size available, but in 2 or 4 ohm. Which one?

Will one sub be enough for sq setup?

Ugghh ... One sub will RIP YOUR HEAD OFF !!!! So yeah , one is plenty for SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Which one you need will depend on the amp you're gonna push it with .... Will it play into a 2 ohm bridged load ? If so, go 2 ohm , if not then 4 ohm ...

I have heard pretty much ALL of the other offerings in the sub $1000 price range , and in my opinion , nothing else really can equal those Profis.
