Need enclosure specs for Alpine sub.

I was given 3 new Alpine SWR-254ED subs & don't have the spec sheet with recommended enclosure dimensions. These are 10 years old so Alpine doesn't have the info either. The box says that the "box is the actual enclosure dimensions", "small size, big sound", but it measures 11.25 X 11.25 X 6.25 inches. I am not sure this is the interior or exterior dimension. It's soooo small, especially when I subtract for the .75in MDF! If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be grateful. BTW they are 10" dual 4 ohm & also marked ZR10.
