I'm building a competiton system in my Nissan Titan is going to include 4 Zapco amps

Amps i will be using are the Zapco C2K product line (amperages at idle are a guesstimate)

2- C2K 9.0's these draw about 35-50 amps at idle each and up to 175 amps max at peak load during long bass transitions

1 C2K 4.0 4 channel amp for mids will draw 5 amps idle and up to 25 amps max

1 C2k 2.5 4 channel amp for tweeters will draw 3.6 amps idle and 15-20 amps max

so totalling all of this i will need atleast 395 amps of power during peaks, Will a 250 amp alternator cut it?? if i have 1/0 gauge running throught the whole system from front to rear with 3 deepcycle optima yellowtops?

would i also need to install one of those farad banks of 30/40

farads if this will help i'll do that as well what brands do you guys reccomend?

I'm really not too sure about this and i hate to starve my amps for the power they need and deserve, hehe

thanks,

chris

Where did you come up with 35-50amps at idle for the 9.0? I currently run 1-9.0 1-4.0 and 2- 2.5x amps with a stock 140 amp alti plus video and everything else. My sytem is pretty elaborate. Now I didnt skimp on storage though. I run 3 Batcap 2000's and a Batcap PowerPack (600cca bat and 35farad cap in one chassis). I have no voltage drop below 13v at full tilt (3300wrms of Zapco power) The Otima Yellow top is NOT a car audio battery, it is a deep cycle. I recommend a similar bat set up as mine and you will have no worries. There is alot of hate for caps on this site but people do not realize in a properly set up electrical system they DO have benefits. I only use what I truly believe in and the Xstatic BatCaps are the best IMO.

thanks for the help.. prob just going to get 3 - 2400 kinetik batteries and be done with it, the optimas are brand new so i should be able to bring them back.. i would like to put them in the bed or underneath the bed of my truck in a fabricated tray, how long of a run of power wires from the batteries to the amps can i have without hampering the performance??
