hey guys i have 4 10jlw6 a ppi1500x1 and a ppi1000x4, tuned way down for highs, i need some new decent comps for the front i can house up to a 6x9 but would rather go with like a 61/4 or 61/2 comp for the front doors and maybe a 51/4 comp for the rears any suggestions, moneys not that tight but i don really want to spend over 250 ish a pair any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

I think most people (including myself) would suggest you put the majority of the budget toward the front speakers, and get some coaxials for the rear. And run the rears off the HU.

i already have a 4 channel amp i can probably go with what i have in my front doors as the new rears i have pioneer 4 ways in the front right now, they are 5 1/4 so theyd fit the rear what do u think about components for the front

don't even bother with rear speakers. just get a comp set up front. if you must have rear fill, some $50 coaxils will work. no need for comps in the rear. with that said i would bridge that amp and go for a set of boston acoustic pros.

I have a pair of speakers that might be coming up for sale soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Would make perfect rear fill.

should i deaden my doors even though i dont need the bass that much from my comps cause the subs play fine bass in mid and low, or should i just throw a layer in there to help reduce rattle and noise?

yes deaden your door. help to improve midbass. also how many watts and was your door deadened when you had the pros? what didn't you like about them so we can help you find something you'll like more?

i had the pros with no deadening and i think that my intaller had messed up my comps when they put thrm in and didnt want to live up to it but for the money i can get mbquars should i just go that route

sound deadening will make a world of difference no matter what set you go with. the quarts get mixed reviews. the local shop started selling quarts and i didn't like the tweets on them. too harsh imo, but this was in a sound board. comps i have used that i liked were DLS, CDT, and boston acoustics.
