Sounds to me like the people you know that bought things from others online don't know how to set their gains and resist the 'bass boost' knob.how do i make sure that they will last a long time though? and not just for like a year.
I've had people buy stuff from other people online, and for the first year it would work fine, and then their stuff would just blow/break/or stop working. Is it just better to buy stuff new with a warranty?
thats one of the dumber things ive ever heard...PG RSD's no matter what you budget is. even if you have money for more why bother. i honestly can't see my car sounding much better than it does at the moment.
explain?thats one of the dumber things ive ever heard...
if you take care of the rainbows as good as i did they will last you forever.
I dont have a head unit. One wont' fit in my car.explain?
i didn't say anything about your rainbows not being taken care of. i am just saying that the RSD's are amazing especially for the money. you can get excellent sound quality out of them if you know what you're doing and can use an EQ. thats all i am saying.
that doesn't happen when people properly use their equipment.how do i make sure that they will last a long time though? and not just for like a year.

how long do components last? will they last forever if i treat them right? or will after a certain amount of time do all components fade??that doesn't happen when people properly use their equipment.
something about the air conditioner is attached to the HU. I had a friend who graduated last year who had the same car as me and he couldn't get a HU either. It's a lexusas long as you can make them fit in the factory locations then go for it. why can't you change your head unit? what kind of car is it?
so it is possible to get the speakers "inside" the door so that no one knows i upgraded my components? cuz a lot of other peoples cars i've seen have them sticking through the door, but i've seen some where they were hidden (i think.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif "as long as you can make them fit in the factory locations then go for it. why can't you change your head unit? what kind of car is it?
yes it should be possible, only way to know is to take off your door panels and see if you have room. you will mount a 1/2 to 3/4 in mdf baffle to the door, then mount the woofer to that. as long as everything clears you will be good to go.so it is possible to get the speakers "inside" the door so that no one knows i upgraded my components? cuz a lot of other peoples cars i've seen have them sticking through the door, but i've seen some where they were hidden (i think.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif "
