Need clarification

I have a 2ch amp that when bridged runs at 4ohm (600wrms). I have a single DVC 4ohm sub woofer. Someone told me to wire the sub up so that it's 8ohms and then i could use my amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif. The amp has no rating listed for 8ohm. Will this work?

It sounds feasible but wouldn't the power output be a lot less?

It is feasible. And yes the power would be way less.

Rn the sub at 2 Ohms and only use one channel of the 2-Channel

shouldve gotten a D2 or a single 4 ohm sub. 8 ohms bridged will put out what the 2 channels would do at 4 ohms stereo
