Need battery suggestion...

I'm running about 800 or so watts rms through two amplifiers, wired to a 1.5 farad capacitor. I also have a PS2 and 7" Farenheit LCD screen draining power from the electrical system. I still have the stock battery in my Honda Accord, and I dont think it's cutting it anymore, especially since I will be showing my car nonstop starting this coming spring at car shows. I know I still need to do the "Big 3", but how much will that help the situation? My screen dims a lot when the system is playing and the PS2 is on, so the system can't possibly be gettin all the power it needs. I need some suggestions for a good battery to replace this crappy Honda one with. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Small batteries? Hmm I'm not sure. I can't seem to find the OEM battery size for the Accord by searching Yahoo. I've heard a lot about Kinetik as well. What is better for the price, Optima or Kinetik?

are you getting dimming while driving? If so A battery wont help alot. You are going to need an HO alt. Now about competing in car shows...I know most car shows around here require you to unhook your battery and run all of your acceories off of an AC power supply. My suggestion to you is Upgrade your Alternator, its the best and most effective way to prevent dimming. All of the aftermarket batteries for a car are still 12volt batteries, the only things they offer extra is Deep Cycle capability (optima Yellow top, and Kinetik) or high CCAs (optima Red top).

If you are a parkinglot man, where you sit in your car with the Engine off, go for the deep cycle, that will give you the most bang for your buck.

I'm not really dimming that much while driving. It's moreso while I'm sitting there, like if i'm parked at a show. I also don't remember having to run any of my accessories off an AC power supply at any shows. Aren't HO alternators expensive? I think I just need a simpler fix like the big 3 and a battery for now. If I do go crazy with accessories or my system in the future, then a HO alternator would be necessary. From your description, a deep cycle battery is what I need.

For what you have, you shouldn't even need a bigger battery/alt. Just do the Big 3 and forget about it. I've ran 1600w on my stock electrical system for months and months with no problems.

Yellow Top and forget about it. The size would be a Group 34. Get a D34 or D34/78.
