HI all,

Need help here as I am on low budget. MY current setup, won't go into to many details was done over time and I have a 12" subwoofer in an enclosure with its own 250 watt JVC amp powering it I put in a couple years ago. Now I am looking to add more bass. I am looking at adding another 12" sub in another enclosure. MY question is can I go with another amp for this sub, may or may not be the same make/model or would I be better off getting another amp that would power both. Also, if I can go with a second amp I am assuming I would want the same wattage as the other one? any thoughts/concerns. Thanks

Your money would be better spent on one more capable subwoofer and a ported enclosure. A reputable manufacturer may have a loaded ported enclosure that could suit your budget, although since you haven't stated a budget it will be up to you to figure that out. This time of year there are tons of bargains on new equipment. If you chose wisely you could use the same amplifier and upgrade it later.

It all depends on budget man. You want more bass, but what can you afford? You don't have to go all out with 3k rms, multiple batteries, and 2 monster 12's to get solid bass. Figure out your budget and people here will throw opinions and ideas your way.
