Im going to have 3 dual 4 ohm subs. I can run them @ 2.67 ohms or .67 ohms i was told.

They need around 1000 watts total @ .67 ohms. The only amp that comes to mind is an old Orion 250hcca but im not 100% sure if it would be stable @ .67 even tho im pretty sure it would.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx

maybe a JL 1000/1 1000 watts at 1.5 to 4 ohms, should get 1000 at 2.67 as well
also the PG amps like a xeon 1200.1 1200 watts at 1-4 ohms overhead is always good

Oh crap, i forgot those JL amps did their power @ 1-4 ohms. I'll take a look @ phoenix gold as well. Thx.

Overhead? How about headroom //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anything similar to those that play @ 1-4 ohms around 1000 watts?? JL is just too expensive and i'd like to have at least one more to compare with phoenix gold.

And it doesnt matter if its overhead or head room. As long as im getting head

USAmps MD2D will give you about 1800 at .67. I used it for 2 500 watt subs so that's theoretically a total of 1000 watts as well...may want to look into that and set your gains low

What subs will you be running anyway?

3 dual 4 ohm 12 inch Orion XTR series 2 subs. They can handle around 3 - 400 watts a piece. But 250 would be alright too.

So basically, i can run about 1000 watts comfortably @ 2.67 ohms or @.67 ohms:

Im considering the Orion 250hcca to run them @.67 ohms or the phoenix gold @ 2.67. Im not sure if the Orion will do that work load but i have a friend of mine who owns one checking on that for me. I love those old hcca Orions and i dont know anything else that puts out that power @ .67. Im just not familiar with it.

as far as i understand it, the diamond d6 line of amps are also rated power at 1-4 ohms regulated. and are cheaper than the jl i believe theres a 1200.1 and a 1500.1

I have an Orion XTR Pro 1000, but it's only rated to 1 ohm. Don't know if it'll go down to .67.
