Need Amplifier Recommendation

I'm going to have an installer install two Image Dynamics IDMAX subwoofers soon and I need to order an amplifier as soon as I can. I don't know much about car audio so I need some recommendations from some experienced people. I heard that 500w to each sub will sound great on IDMAX's because they are very efficient. I'm going for a sealed enclosure setup if that makes any difference. Please recommend me some nice amplifiers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh, I almost forgot.. I'm going to be running DLS Audio 6.2 Iridium components.. which amp will be good for that?

The subwoofers are 12"s, I'm getting the box custom made sealed to specifications (I'm not sure what the specs are). I'd like to spend around $600 for the amplifier that'll power the subs.. around $300 to power the speakers.

Upgrading the electrical system.. how much will that cost me? Will I have to upgrade my electrical system? I'm going to be installing them in a 2002 base rsx.

OK, you figure about 10 feet of 2awg or 1/0 gauge welding wire...that's usually around a dollar/ft. So 10 bucks there. Add to that the cost of connectors. You'll need six of them...Knukoncepts currently has them for 1.75 each. So far you're up to $20.50.

As for the amp, figure on spending under $350...there are plenty of amps in that price range that will do 1kW, easy.

with those subs you may need to run 2 amps to those i read the specs on them and they hold some serious wattage so id look into running 1-1000watt rms amp into each sub amp is to your preference as long as you rms rating matches your subs and i like to keep the amps the same for the mids and highs for professional apperance

My stock 100amp alt died on me from 1500 watts.

I heard that these subwoofers are very efficient and will sound great with only 500watts. I got a recommendation to get a DLS a6 amplifier that will give me 600watts per subwoofer. The amplifier is a bit pricey though but I heard it's a high end amplifier.. around $600.

Also, I heard that I'll see some dimming but never while driving.. and that with a capacitor + good grounding.. I wouldn't need to upgrade anything.

Well I'm a newbie on systems but I'm going almost the same route. 2x IDMax 10" D4 and running a HiFonics 1500BD which should give them 1500watts @ 1ohm. I too will be going according to specs on a sealed enclosure. My sales rep is sponsored by ID so he knows his shizz and thats what he recommended.
