Need Amp Ideas...

I'm looking to put an ALPINE SPR-17S 6.5" TYPE R 300 WATT COMPONENT SPEAKERS SYSTEM in my 95 Silverado. What I'm looking for is different amp ideas to power them.

Speaker SPecs:

2-110 watts RMS

330 watts peak power

External crossovers 12dB high pass and 6 dB low pass

87 dB sensitivity

Frequency response: 65 Hz - 27 kHz

Any help would be greatly appreciated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would look for a 4 channel to bridge for those speakers. As lnog as you can get at least 110x2@4 ohm your good... its always nice to have headroom thogh.

The truck has 2 6" in the door and a spot for the tweeters in the door as well. The factory doesn't install the tweeters unless you opt for the sound upgrade. There is also a speaker in the pillar behind the seat. So I might upgrade later. I'm not trying to spend more than $150 on the amp. I'm told that that is not a lot for an amp but its what is feasible right now

Can I run the stock speakers with the new setup?

Do the tweeters have the same RMS rating as the woofers?

Can a tweeter and a woofer run off the same channel on the amp?

If so, do I need an amp with more than the rated 110 RMS/channel value?

SPR-17S Specs on Alpine USA

:rolleyes:NOOB:rolleyes:
