I am replacing my old system due to blown voice coils. I am getting 2 level 14 12 inch dc audio subs. Both the subs will be running at 1400 wats rms and i will need a powerful amp to do so. The subs were more expensive than i planned so i need a amplifier on the cheaper side. Also i need an enclosure for the subs. I would prefer ported because apparently they sound better than my current sealed set up. My car is a 2009 honda civic 4 door. I would be willing to use all available trunk space and use the rear spare tire well as well. Can anyone recommend a good box and amp to put and a rough estimation of how much these 2 items will cost? Im assuming the box needs to be custom built.

I was looking at prefab boxes even though custom are better. Ive heard good reviews about probox. Does anyone know if the probox is tuned well for the DC audio subs?

please dont do a pre-fab you will be wasting your money on subs then. put good subs in a pre-fab, you are bottle necking it. where in florida are you located
What kind of budget?......you may want to hit up @mylows10 ; for an amp or look for used in the classifieds .....I can get a box out to ya for $155 shipped built to handle whatever you throw at it....
Thanks ill see about that. My old box might be big enough. idk tho i have no way to measure it being in a college dorm.

i was hoping to spend less than 350 maximum on the amp because the subs are more expensive than i had originally thought. Also im assuming that installation is going to be quite expensive as well. I dont know how to set it up and i also have no access to anything more than a swiss army knife since im living in a dorm.
