Need amp advice for a type x

Hey guys,

i have an alpine type x 12" sub woofer which is a dual 4 ohm sub.

I need some help with what amp i;m going to get.

I was thinking the hifonics brutus brz 1700, which apparently runs 1200 watts RMS at a 2 0hm load or the alpine mrx 1100 which runs 1100 watt RMS at 2 ohm stable.

Although the hifonics seems like a decent amp i have heard bad things about it, and im thinking the mrx 1100 just because it is an alpine sub amp combo.

Whats your opinions? Or is there another, better amp for around the $300 mark.

Can you guys get Kicker out there? Kicker Monos make nice power at 2ohm, something like a 750.1 or 1000.1

I run my 12" Type X's off of the Alpine PDX 1000.1 amp. I know there is a new model out but those amps power those subs great.

Cheers guys, the kicker will be abut 470 posted and i don't think i can afford that haha.
