so i just receive my 2 new Sundowns X - 15s i will be running them in parallel to 1 ohm i currently have a memphis mj1.2200 i might use that to break them in for a month ... now my question is how much power can this badboys take clean ... i hear and see people say that just 1 can handle 3k clean ... i was thinking of a brazilian amp 5k idk yet soundigital ...

Most of us like to have some headroom when it comes to our amps. That being said, I personally would not be comfortable with double the rms to that $1000 investment, but that is just me. I would put a 4k on them, but again, that is just my .02.

V1 or v2s? Clamps power they take 2k-3k.. so u could put them on a 7k amp and send them a lot of clean power.

My buddy has 4 Xv2s and has a sundown 5k on each pair at 1ohm. It barely even tickles them

they are the xv2s newer versions 1500 each ... i was going to get another mj.2200 to bridge them but they expensive *** hell and i was thinking of buying a 5k just to be safe on a 7.5 or 8 cf box tune 30
