So i just had an autotek meanmachine m1000.4 4 channel amp installed last week to power two front 6.5 factory speakers and a JL audio w1v3-4 sub. The rear 6x9s are powered by a sony xplod HU. The added bass is awesome but the treble coming from the front speakers is really ear piercing and kind of hard to listen to even with eq adjustments and at a medium volume.
Was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction as to how to upgrade my system to have a fuller, less harsh sound up front even as the volume gets higher. I was advised at my local audio shop to go head and get new speakers first. then to get a mono amp to power the sub (which is currently underpowered) freeing up the 4 channel amp to power my front and rear speakers.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
